Starting as a customer service adviser in 1998, Bryony progressed through various roles in JEM to become Managing Director and loves “the variation of each and every day”.
“Before I started at JEM, I worked in the travel industry and IT recruitment,” explains Bryony. “In the past, when changing jobs, I always opted for a new direction, then I found JEM. On this occasion the new direction has always been within the JEM family.”
From her initial customer services position, Bryony then moved up to Operations Manager and then General Manager, to Managing Director. Seeing the company from so many angles really helped hone Bryony’s in-depth knowledge of the company – and what works best in fulfilment. “The positions have given me great understanding allowing me to manage the company to the best of my abilities.”
As Managing Director, Bryony enjoys overseeing the team and new and existing business. “I ensure the company is run as efficiently as possible and I love being involved with each department; some say I’m just nosey! I like to expand on ideas with the team to further extend our services.”
There’s plenty she loves about working at JEM. “The variation each and every day, the experience of working with other companies’ dreams. The team, their passion for our clients and customers is what makes JEM the company it is.”
As well as being a massive cheese fan in her spare time, Bryony has taken part in charity bike rides and found a new love for gardening. “I have accompanied my father twice out of 11 times he has ridden the London to Brighton bike ride raising money for the British Heart Foundation. I have recently decided that vegetable growing is my passion along with antique furniture.”
