“We’re just coming up to our second anniversary since we let go of our ‘baby’ to an outside fulfilment house, namely JEM. Excellent customer services are paramount for us and we realised that if it were possible to find a partner to handle the pick and pack operation we could focus on customer service and business growth. After a careful process of selection JEM won the contract for our public and trade customers. JEM decided it was best to replicate the exact methods and services we currently utilised in order to maintain the levels of service our customers had enjoyed to date. Whilst JEM recommended a few initial improvements that we later implemented, it was a comfort for us to see a virtual mirror of our packing area established in JEM’s premises, in fact it felt like a home from home.

JEM have consistently demonstrated advantages from item packaging to very sophisticated IT systems that have continued to maintain and improve the level of customer service response we like to offer. We were also very impressed with the sales order processing manual they have developed for our operations within JEM. This enables any member of staff to gain an immediate grasp of every aspect of the day to day running of the pick and pack process and more! Now, nearly two years down the line since we ‘let go’, we are delighted with the operation and all the staff we have come to know. As a small business we found ourselves struggling to keep on top of the growing task of dispatching our orders. As a predominantly sales business, it became essential that we out-sourced our fulfilment. It’s a big step to take as there is a huge amount of trust needed when you look to find a company to act on your behalf. In our case we deliver to 5* Hotels and they have very high service expectation. So we were more than a little nervous about looking for a company to help, as our reputation would be riding on our decision.

I heard about JEM Marketing from a respected source and learnt from them that as part of their search they had visited 6 fulfilment companies and JEM offered the stand out service, at the most competitive price. I felt we needed to look no further as I had the confidence to follow in their footsteps. After meeting with the team, to discuss our requirements. Following-up on a recommendation, Minibar approached JEM. Minibar had experienced troubles with in-house staffing, continuity and deadlines, so we visited the Minibar and were able to offer a solution. We explained that outsourcing your fulfilment requirements would eliminate all of the troubles they had previously experienced. We were able to offer continuity by designating dedicated Warehouse staff members and an Account Manager to them, which also covered any holiday or sickness; something that had not been possible previously. From the start, we have worked closely with Minibar, offering them advice on packing materials and also assembling their product the most efficient way that will keep costs to a minimum. Since working with Minibar, we have had a number of changes along the way from the original specification which we started with – all of which we have adopted smoothly.
